About the Northwoods Chalet...
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking great room, featuring a magnificent wall of glass that spans the entire first floor. This expansive window not only floods the space with natural light but also offers panoramic views of the surrounding forest. The great room is the heart of the home, with its soaring ceilings, cozy fireplace, and comfortable seating area, making it the ideal spot for relaxation and gathering with loved ones.
The open-concept design seamlessly connects the great room to the gourmet kitchen and dining area, creating a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with newer built appliances, ample counter space, and a large island, perfect for preparing delicious meals and entertaining guests.
Ascend the staircase to the second floor, where you'll find a large loft that overlooks the great room below. This versatile space can be used as a reading nook, home office or a quiet family area offering a cozy retreat with stunning views of the great room and the natural beauty outside.
With modern amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, smart HDTV’s in all rooms, remote work space with computer monitor, fully equipped kitchen, on site laundry and attached garage for car or gear storage, you'll have all the conveniences of home during your stay.
About the Tahoe Donner HOA and Truckee|Tahoe area
Tahoe Donner HOA Amenities: As a guest in our home, you'll have access to the fantastic amenities offered by the Tahoe Donner Homeowners Association. Included with your rental are six (6) guest cards providing access to the private amenities. Each guest card allows access for one (1) guest. Daily/non-transferable fee for rental guest is $24 (7yrs+) and $10 (3yr-6yr) per person per day and subject to amenity availability. Children under 3 are free. *Daily access fees subject to change.

About your host
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area it was easy to spend a lot of time in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe area. My earliest memories are of my grandfather, a proud Maui born and raised man, building a modest cabin with a 360 view in Zephyr Heights on the south shore of the lake when I was 8 years old. I was so excited to sleep on the plywood subfloor in a sleeping bag under the Tahoe sky and work during the day next to my father and grandfather fetching tools while the house was slowly constructed. Jump to my late 20’s and my father purchased a modest cabin on the westshore of Lake Tahoe near Sunnyside Resort. This began a life long habit of weekends in Tahoe for my family as we spent much of our free time at the cabin. In 2010 I had the opportunity to purchase a second home. I had a small budget and found the Tahoe Donner neighborhood in Truckee offered all I could want in terms of a mountain community. The Northwoods Chalet was a lucky find for me and while I never saw myself in Truckee given the family history in Lake Tahoe, I grew to love the area and the Truckee lifestyle. Fast forward to present day….. kids and family all grown with their own lives and I find myself experiencing a more varied travel style and expanding my horizons outside of the Tahoe region. So, it just made sense to share my Truckee home with others. I hope you enjoy the magic of the Truckee and Lake Tahoe area with your friends and family as much as I have over the years.
